Following the mandate of Presidential Regulation No. 7 of 2021, governors and mayors, and regents are required to carry out the above program in coordination with the relevant ministries.   Andhika argues that the driving factors for extremism are economic inequality, marginalization and discrimination, poor governance that causes public disappointment, weak law enforcement, and human rights violations. While the pull factors can come from distortions due to understanding certain ideologies or individuals who want to seek sensation, so they join extremist organizations. Andhika also said that through Presidential Regulation No. 7 of 2021 it is mandatory for all Ministries and local governments to be responsible for the implementation of the NATIONAL ACTION PLAN FOR PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT OF EXTREMISM to increase community resilience against threats and disturbances that lead to acts of terrorism.   In line with this, Fran also said that the NATIONAL ACTION PLAN FOR THE PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT OF EXTREMISM can prevent acts of terrorism because it applies the principle of the rule of law and upholds human rights.

The Merger of Islamic Banks in Indonesia, for the People’s Interest or Certain Group?

Universitas Airlangga held a new sharia-inspired webinar for THE SHARIA program on Saturday, July 24, 2021. This webinar comes with the topic, WHAT’S BEHIND THE SHARIA BANK MERGER? NEGATIVE IMPACT OF SHARIA BANK MERGERS ON THE SHARIA MARKET. Present as speakers were Ichsanuddin Noorsy as Observer of Indonesian Economic Politics, Anis Byarwati as Member of Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representative, Ersyam Fansuri as Practitioner of Islamic Economics, and Muhammad Nafik. H.R as UNAIR Lecturer and Host of THE SHARIA event.

Anis believes that the penetration of the Islamic banking market in Indonesia is far behind compared to other countries. The merger of Islamic banks has not been able to overcome this problem. One of the factors is that the market share of Islamic banks before the merger was still stagnant at around 7% in recent years. The merger policy only enlarges assets but is still oriented towards commercial banks, not focusing on the people.

In addition, she believes that there is a need for policies from the government to convert conventional bank assets into Islamic bank assets. The merger process has an optimal impact on the corporation. However, the impact on the public and the wider economy, especially for SMEs, is yet to be seen.

Meanwhile, Nafik assessed that the merger of Islamic banks reduced the portion of funds for the public to a smaller size, whereas before the merger the portion was still 0.3 to 0.1 after the merger. The public is not very concerned about whether Islamic banks are merged or not, because what the public sees, in general, is only about the return on the bank.

Meanwhile, Leo stated that the merger of Islamic banks is considered something extraordinary because it can enlarge existing assets. The unification of existing Islamic banks can increase investors’ confidence in Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). Islamic bank mergers are still used by large corporations and small ones for SMEs. As long as BSI still prioritizes commercial banking, not investment banking, it will still benefit large corporations.

Perawat Sebagai Peran Kunci Pelayanan Medis untuk Masyarakat

Rumah  Sakit Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) menggelar webinar untuk program HR IN HOSPITAL pada hari Kamis, 22 Juli 2021. Webinar kali ini hadir dengan topik, NON-NURSING JOBS: THIS NOT MY JOB.

Nurses as a Key Role of Medical Services for Society

Hospital of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) held a webinar for the HR IN HOSPITAL program on Thursday, July 22, 2021. This webinar comes with the topic, NON-NURSING JOBS: THIS NOT MY JOB. Present as speakers were Prof. Kusnanto as Nursing Manager at UNAIR Hospital, Prof. Nursalam as Chair of the East Java Regional Board of the Indonesian National Nurses Association, Emil Dardak as Deputy Governor of East Java. This event was hosted by Hning Wicaksono as the Host.

Nursalam mentioned the social restrictions imposed by the government such as large-scale social restrictions, Community Activities Restrictions Enforcement, and emergency Community Activities Restrictions Enforcement. The facts on the ground show that there is always chaos in the implementation in the field. This becomes a question, whether the policy is not the right solution or the community is not compliant. While the impact on the nurses themselves are stress, negative stigma in society that nurses contain a virus, extreme fatigue, reduced rest time, and long separation from family.

Nursalam also stated that there are several obstacles related to nursing in handling positive COVID-19 patients, namely the disagreement between nurses and the patient’s family regarding further care and treatment. Another problem is whether the remuneration at the hospital where he works is following the principles of honesty and fairness. Then if there is a disagreement with colleagues or other professions in the hospital, it will also cause obstacles, especially during a pandemic emergency. The next problem that is no less complicated is related to hospital policies regarding conflicts of interest that are rife in handling community victims of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Pudji Djanuarto as Director of PHC Surabaya Hospital believes that the success of hospital services depends on the integration between medical, education, and research. Hospitals must understand the key roles and basic needs of nurses. In addition to having competence, every medical worker must be quick to respond to situations in the field with a quick mindset.

Strategi yang Tepat dalam Mengatur Personalisasi Diri untuk Meningkatkan Mutu Pelayanan

Webinar SERVICE EXCELLENCE IN SERVICE OF ADMINISTRATION digelar pada hari Selasa, 6 Juni 2021.

The Right Strategy in Managing Personalization to Improve Service Quality

The webinar SERVICE EXCELLENCE IN SERVICE OF ADMINISTRATION held on Tuesday, June 6, 2021. This time the webinar comes with the topic, INCREASING ASN COMPETENCE: SERVICE EXCELLENCE OF ADMINISTRATIVE MANPOWER IN THE NEW NORMAL ERA. Present as a speaker was Fanny Dhaniswara as a Personality Development & Certified Personality Energy Trainer. The CEO of National Hospital, also present to give a speech, namely Ikfina Fahmawati as the Regent of Mojokerto.

Dhani explained the theory about the four dominant colors in serving customers. That theory states that green means good relationship, yellow means innovation, red is execution, and blue is strategic. However, in serving customers, human resources (HR) should not only focus on one color. It is necessary to use various colors, so that there is a balance in the service. For example, people who are too creative usually tend to get away from procedures. On the other hand, people who follow procedures too much tend to be less creative. Therefore, it is necessary to balance between practicing procedures and creativity, so that there is a balance. In this case, the use of yellow is combined with blue so that there is a balance in service or service to the community.

In addition, Dhani also mentioned that service excellence must meet four basic criteria, namely recognizing one’s potential in service, fostering empathy, providing service, and communicating assertively. This right is so that the challenges in running excellent service can be overcome. Dhani said that to win the hearts of customers, HR must start with empathy for what the customer needs. Then HR determines the right way to meet customer needs. Then the HR/employees of the company plan and start what kind of services should be provided. Then an evaluation is also important to see to what extent customers are satisfied after receiving services from HR.

Peningkatan Kompetensi ASN Tenaga Medis, Benarkah Sudah Kompeten?

Webinar HR in HOSPITAL untuk program SERVICE EXCELLENCE IN HOSPITAL digelar pada hari Selasa, 6 Juni 2021.

Improving the Competence of Civil Servants as Medical Personnel, Are they already Really Competent?

The HR in HOSPITAL webinar for the SERVICE EXCELLENCE IN HOSPITAL program was held on Tuesday, June 6, 2021. This time the webinar presented the topic, INCREASING CIVIL SERVANT COMPETENCE: SERVICE EXCELLENCE OF MEDICAL PERSONNEL IN THE NEW NORMAL ERA. Present as speakers were Prof. Hans Wijaya as CEO of National Hospital, Ikfina Fahmawati as Regent of Mojokerto, and Prof. Kusnanto as Nursing Manager of UNAIR Hospital.

Hans stated that a hospital (RS) that is following the wishes of the community will not occur if the hospital only works according to “as long as boss is happy”. Hospital services must please patients or the community, and not serve the interests of superiors. Several RUSD in Indonesia also still prioritize bureaucratic culture over public services. There are many irregularities where government-owned hospitals are still prioritized for the interests of bureaucrats and hospital echelon leaders, rather than using pure facilities for the community.

In line with this, Kusnanto explain that efficient and effective hospital management is an absolute requirement for hospitals to provide optimal services. If hospital management is less than optimal, it will have an impact on the productivity of hospital employees in serving patients and the community. He also stated about the obstacles to hospital services in Indonesia, namely that doctors who have high capabilities tend to be in big cities and tend to charge expensive tariffs. In addition, doctors with these abilities have the right to choose patients. This will be very detrimental to the community if a situation such as the current pandemic occurs, where doctors with high skills are needed to treat people indiscriminately.

Hospitals in Indonesia certainly need to change, where professional management is needed to lead a hospital so that it can be separated from the bureaucratic culture as long as boss is happy. In addition, hospitals need to highlight high technology as a marketing attraction, always try to find breakthroughs with new products, be aware of the competition, as well as facilities and facilities that prioritize customer comfort and satisfaction. The focus & ultimate goal of hospitals, especially government-owned hospitals, is the customer or patient satisfaction, not on the orientation of bureaucratic interests.
